Research at the Institute of Geodesy focuses on GNSS-based positioning and navigation, terrestrial gravimetry, geoid determination and the modelling of the mass variations of the Earth system. The analysis of laser measurements to the moon is another main research interest at our institute. In addition, the development of new measurement techniques and sensors for the determination of our system Earth in close cooperation with physics are an important part of our scientific work.
