A RSS-Feed is a news channel of the Istitut für Erdmessung (IFE), which is for free use. As soon as news are publicized on our web sites, you will receive a message of the publication. You are informed as soon as possible if new of the Institut für Erdmessung appear. You can choose between the fields of colloquiums and events.

RSS - Really Simple Syndication
You can use the RSS Feeds of the Leibniz Universität Hannover with different programs, browser and internet services. Many internet browser support RSS feeds beside the presentation of web pages. Therefore you only have to subscribe to the RSS news of your interest. An RSS Reader is more or less integrated by most standard browsers of the actual generation, i.e. Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera or Mozilla Firefox. In the most cases you subscribe to a RSS Freed by adding a bookmark (or adding favorite).
Some Mail programs like Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird support the capability to manage different RSS Feeds, in this case you receive an email for news feed.
You want to read the news independently from any browser or mail program? Then you are ask to use one of the various stand alone RSS reader for example Feedreader oder Amphetadesk.
By the way, the abbreviation RSS 2.0 is explained as "Really Simple Syndication". On the technical point of view this are XML based file formats and that's why they are sometimes also known as XML-Feeds.
