At this year''s Winter Ball the students of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodetic Science awarded prizes to their lecturers for the first time.
The prize in the category "Best Instructor" was awarded to Dr.-Ing. Akbar Shabanloui (Institute of Geodesy). Akbar Shabanloui, instructor of the course "Geodynamics and Geokinematics", is distinguished by his diverse teaching methods, according to the students: "Whether in pictures, text or with short video sequences, he manages to bring his topic closer to the students. And he does not limit himself to one topic, but also finds time to provide background information to make certain facts clearer."
