Award for Master thesis

Samer Abualhanud, M.Sc, PhD candidate at IPI, was awarded the Karl Kraus-Nachwuchsförderpreis, 3rd place, for his Master's thesis "3D Occupancy Prediction from Multi-View 2D Surround Images" (supervisor: Prof. Franz Rottensteiner). This annual price, jointly awarded by the German, Austrian and Swiss Societies for Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Geoinformation for outstanding Bachelor's, Master's and Diploma theses, was presented at the 3-country conference in Muttenz on 4 June 2025.
