At the Institute of Geodesy, we are dedicated to research and education in precise GNSS-based positioning and navigation, terrestrial gravimetry, and geoid determination. We also focus on modeling mass variations within the Earth system. We take great pride in our analysis of lunar laser measurements. Currently, we are placing increased emphasis on developing innovative measurement concepts for gravity field determination, in close collaboration with experts in physics.

Michał Mika receives the Victor Rizkallah Foundation Prize for his Master's thesis



On 15 October 2021, our colleague Michał Mika was awarded the Victor Rizkallah Foundation Prize for his Master's thesis in recognition of outstanding scientific achievements at Leibniz Universität Hannover. The title of the thesis is A fast and memory-efficient isogeometric Galerkin method for Karhunen-Loève approximation of random fields. We congratulate him on the award!
