- Abstract
The Mg intercombination transition is an attractive candidate for a future optical frequency standard. Results of a detailed experimental and theoretical study of Ramsey-Borde interferometry using both thermal and laser-cooled atoms will be presented. Presently a stability of 5.5·10-13/√τ has been achieved.
